How to make a poster in MyCanvasDesign

  1. Open an A4 page

    Press Make a poster and a blank A4 page (794 × 1123 px) opens in the editor. For US letter or a size of your own, use Create new on the dashboard.

  2. Add the headline and details

    Type a short headline in a bold font, then the when, where and how much underneath. Drop in a photo (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP or SVG, up to 15 MB) and crop it to fit.

  3. Download and print

    Export a PDF to print at home or a PNG to share online. Both are free and carry no watermark.

Poster sizes to start from

A3 and A2 are the same shape as A4, just bigger, so a poster designed on an A4 page prints cleanly at any of them. For a conference or a big wall, start at full A0 size.

Yes. You can make and download as many posters as you like for free, with no watermark and no account.

What size should a poster be?

A4 (210 × 297 mm) suits noticeboards and windows, and A3 is twice the area for walls. In MyCanvasDesign an A4 page is 794 × 1123 px; A3 is the same shape, so an A4 design prints cleanly at A3.

Can I print my poster?

Yes. Download it as a PDF and print it at home or take it to a print shop. The free PDF is made at twice screen resolution; print-ready PDFs at 300 DPI with bleed are coming with Pro.

Can I use my own photos on a poster?

Yes. Add PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP or SVG files up to 15 MB. They stay in your browser rather than being uploaded to us.
